January 11, 2008. Dallas, TX. Cogent Company continues to demonstrate its expertise to the Microsoft community by announcing today that Ty Anderson, a Cogent Company Partner, will be a regular contributor to the Office Developer portal on the Microsoft Developer Network, commonly known as MSDN. Since Anderson's book, Office 2003 Programming: Real World Applications, published in 2004, he has been widely recognized as an expert in programming in Microsoft Office. Anderson continues to publish on DevX, CIO.com, MSDN, and Simple-Talk. He also has a book planned for Winter 2008, Pro Office 2007 Development with VSTO (Pro).

Anderson's new effort on MSDN will go one step beyond his writing about Office development with demonstration videos on the Office Developer portal. Anderson will be contributing to the popular 'How Do I' video series. "The Microsoft Office System gives developers a powerful collection of integrated programs, servers, services, tools, and technologies that can help developers build Office Business Applications," said Anderson.  With "These videos should be a great way to show people how to do rather than just tell them how to do."

Visit the MSDN Office Developer portal at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/default.aspx, and subsribe to the 'How Do I' video series by RSS at http://www.microsoft.com/feeds/msdn/en-us/office/video.xml.
